Instructions and precautions for DC circular saws
2022-10-13
VIDO produces a variety of professional tools and exports overseas. The article introduces the use instructions and precautions of the DC circular saw.
The DC circular saw is a professional tool, an indispensable tool at work, and can be used in many places. Presumably you don’t know much about DC circular saws, so let’s read on.
Preparation for DC circular saw operation:
1. The saw blade, shell, and handle should not be cracked or damaged.
2. The cable cords and plugs are intact, the switch action is normal, and the protective zero connection is correct, firm and reliable.
3. Whether the saw blade is installed firmly, whether the bolts are tightened, and whether the saw blade is clamped tightly by the inner and outer chuck. Whether the plane of the saw blade is perpendicular to the horizontal axis of the electric circular saw.
4. Check whether the movable protective cover rotates flexibly, whether it is deformed, whether it will rub against the circular saw blade, whether the connection is reliable, and whether it will fall off during operation.
5. Check whether the side handle is installed firmly, and whether it will be loose during holding operation.
6. Check whether the workpiece to be cut is firmly fixed.

Note for DC circular saw operation:

1. When starting, the electric circular saw must be in the suspended position, it will jump suddenly, it must be held double-handed, the fingers must not be placed in the switch position, and the saw teeth must leave the workpiece to be cut to prevent the electric circular saw from jumping and touching the workpiece when it is started .
2. After the electric circular saw is started, it should be left idling for a period of time to observe whether the saw blade is running normally, whether there is a phenomenon of left and right swings, whether the electric circular saw vibrates excessively, and whether the noise is normal.
3. The electric circular saw must pay attention to the position of its cable during operation to prevent it from being cut and causing electric shock or short-circuit accidents. The cable should be bypassed behind you before connecting to the power source, and your body should not be in contact with the cable.
4. When the electric circular saw is in the cutting operation, both hands must hold the handle and side handle of the equipment tightly. The fingers must not approach the high-speed rotating saw blade, and the operator's body must be kept at a proper distance from the equipment.
5. Do not use an electric circular saw higher than the top of the head to prevent the electric circular saw or the cut workpiece from falling off and causing accidents.
6. The new saw blade is generally flat. When cutting the road, choose within the range of 5°~20° as needed.
7. After the machine is started, run it without load for a while, check and confirm that the machine linkage is flexible and unimpeded. When working, the afterburner should be balanced and not too strong.

The DC circular saw is strictly prohibited from overloading:
1. Pay attention to the sound and temperature rise during operation, and immediately stop the machine for inspection if any abnormality is found. When the working time is too long, the temperature rise of the machine exceeds 60℃, or there is a burning smell, the machine should be shut down and allowed to cool down before operation.
2. During operation, do not touch the cutting tool with your hands. If you find that it has blunt, damaged or abnormal sounds, you should stop the inspection immediately; before repairing or replacing parts, you must first cut off the power supply and wait for the saw blade to stop completely.
3. When the saw blade is dull and needs to be repaired, the power should be turned off, the plug should be unplugged, and the saw blade can be removed for work only after the saw blade is completely stopped.
4. The carbon brush on the motor is a consumable. Once its wear exceeds the limit, the motor will malfunction. Therefore, the worn out carbon brush should be replaced immediately. In addition, the carbon brush must always be kept clean.
5. The power of the circular saw should be turned off when the power is cut, resting or leaving the work site.

6. Turn off the power after processing, and clean the equipment and surrounding areas

Failure and maintenance of DC circular saw:
If the DC circular saw fails and suddenly stops moving, don't panic. We can check the two parts of the brush and the motor to see the problem with the DC circular saw. The following problems may occur,
1. Lack of oil, dryness, and stuck.
2. Whether the motor is rotating and whether the power supply is in place.
3. Whether there is a problem with the carbon brush of the motor.
4. Whether there is any foreign body stuck.
5. It really doesn't work, find a motor repairer to help you check it out
