Instructions for VIDO Gasoline Inverter Welder & Gasoline Generator

The Gasoline Inverter Welder & Gasoline Generator integrates a power generator and an electric welding machine. Its core advantage is independence from external power sources, combining power generation and welding functions in one unit. It is especially suitable for areas without grid coverage, offering greater convenience than the combination of a separate generator and an independent welding machine.

I. Key Advantages

Integrated Design for Efficiency & Cost Savings: No additional connecting cables between the generator and welding machine are required. It reduces the number of equipment to transport, saving transportation and storage space. The integrated structure lowers the risk of line connection failures, making it more hassle-free than split-type equipment.

Easy Startup & Strong Adaptability: Most models are equipped with convenient starting devices (such as electric start or recoil start), allowing quick startup without professional skills. The optimized matching between power generation capacity and welding current avoids unstable welding caused by power incompatibility in split-type equipment.

Power-Free Operation & Flexible Scenarios: The built-in power generation function is its core strength, enabling direct operation in off-grid areas like the wilderness, remote construction sites, and mountainous regions without the need for temporary power sources. The compact body, paired with rollers or handles, facilitates effortless outdoor mobility.

Dual Function & High Cost-Effectiveness: In addition to welding, some models can output 220V/380V AC power to drive small tools (such as electric drills and cutting machines), realizing dual functions of "welding + temporary power supply". It costs less than purchasing two separate devices.

II. Usage Method: 4 Standard Steps for Safe & Efficient Operation

Safety Inspection & Equipment Preparation: Wear flame-retardant work clothes, welding gloves, and a protective mask. Check that the fuel (gasoline/diesel) and engine oil levels in the machine are sufficient, and that the coolant (for water-cooled models) meets the standard. Ensure the welding cables and ground clamp are free of damage, the ground clamp is firmly connected to the workpiece or ground, and clear flammable and explosive materials from the work area.

Start Power Generation & Parameter Adjustment: Start the generator according to the model instructions (press the start button for electric start, or pull the starter rope for recoil start). After the generator runs stably, switch to welding mode. Adjust the welding current knob based on the welding material (carbon steel/stainless steel, etc.) and workpiece thickness (50-80A for thin workpieces, 100-180A for thick workpieces). Beginners should start with low current for test welding.

Standard Welding Operation: Hold the welding torch firmly, maintain a 3-5mm distance and 15° tilt angle between the torch and the workpiece, then press the torch switch to strike an arc. Move the torch at a constant speed to ensure a uniform and continuous weld pool. After welding, release the switch after a 1-2 second delay to avoid crater formation. Immediately shut down and inspect if the generator makes abnormal noises.

Shutdown & Maintenance: First turn off the welding mode, then shut down the generator. After the machine cools down, clean the welding slag from the torch nozzle. Check the remaining fuel and engine oil levels and refill to the standard scale. Organize the cables and store the equipment in a dry, well-ventilated place away from fire sources, keeping it out of reach of children.

III. Applicable Scenarios: Covering Household to Small-Scale Engineering

Home Improvement & Maintenance in Remote Areas: Steel structure welding for rural self-built houses, outdoor guardrail installation, repair of metal components in mountainous houses, and anti-theft window production in off-grid areas.

Outdoor Engineering & Emergencies: Pipeline welding in highway/railway construction, fixing of metal brackets for field power emergency repairs, and emergency maintenance of agricultural machinery during field operations.

Mobile Operations & Small-Scale Processing: Welding of workpieces at mobile hardware processing points, cross-regional outdoor construction by decoration teams, and small infrastructure projects (such as fixing rural street lamp bases).

Special Scenario Applications: Construction of temporary shelters after disasters like earthquakes and floods (metal frame welding), fixing of simple facilities at field campsites, and emergency maintenance in border defense and forested areas.
